योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-44, verse-46

वसन्तः कुसुमानीव वेदानादाय संस्तुतान् ।
लीलया कल्पयामास चित्रसंकल्पजाः प्रजाः ॥ ४६ ॥
vasantaḥ kusumānīva vedānādāya saṃstutān ,
līlayā kalpayāmāsa citrasaṃkalpajāḥ prajāḥ 46

46. Like spring playfully brings forth flowers, [Brahma] took the praised Vedas and created beings born of diverse intentions.
