श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
एवं ज्ञास्यन्ति ते राज्ञी स्थितेयमिह दुःखिता ।
वयस्या काचिदन्येयं कुतोऽप्यस्या उपागता ॥ ३९ ॥
एवं ज्ञास्यन्ति ते राज्ञी स्थितेयमिह दुःखिता ।

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca ,
evaṃ jñāsyanti te rājñī sthiteyamiha duḥkhitā ,
vayasyā kācidanyeyaṃ kuto'pyasyā upāgatā 39

Vasiṣṭha said: O Queen, they will understand in this way: 'This distressed woman present here is some other female companion who has arrived for her from somewhere.'
