वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-31, verse-34

ततस्ते राक्षसाः स्नात्वा नर्मदाया वराम्भसि ।
उत्तीर्य पुष्पाण्याजह्रुर्बल्यर्थं रावणस्य तु ॥३४॥
34. tataste rākṣasāḥ snātvā narmadāyā varāmbhasi ,
uttīrya puṣpāṇyājahrurbalyarthaṃ rāvaṇasya tu.
34. tataḥ te rākṣasāḥ snātvā narmadāyāḥ varāmbhasi
uttīrya puṣpāṇi ājuhruḥ baliyartham rāvaṇasya tu
34. tataḥ te rākṣasāḥ narmadāyāḥ varāmbhasi snātvā
uttīrya rāvaṇasya baliyartham puṣpāṇi ājuhruḥ tu
34. Then, those rākṣasas, having bathed in the excellent water of the Narmadā (river) and emerged, indeed brought flowers for Rāvaṇa's offering.
