वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-10, verse-36

प्राञ्जलिः सा तु पर्श्वस्था प्राह वाक्यं सरस्वती ।
इयमस्म्यागता देवकिं कार्यं करवाण्यहम् ॥३६॥
36. prāñjaliḥ sā tu parśvasthā prāha vākyaṃ sarasvatī ,
iyamasmyāgatā devakiṃ kāryaṃ karavāṇyaham.

iyam asmi āgatā deva kim kāryam karavāṇi aham
36. sā sarasvatī tu prāñjaliḥ pārśvasthā vākyam prāha: "deva,
iyam asmi āgatā,
aham kim kāryam karavāṇi?"
36. And she, Sarasvatī, standing by his side with folded hands, spoke these words: 'O god, I have come; what task shall I perform?'
