चत्वारिंशत् कला भौममन्दयोः षण्णव क्रमात् ।
त्रिंशत् खवेदाः सप्ताङ्गा नखाश्चेत्युदिता द्विज ॥३६॥

36. catvāriṃśat kalā bhaumamandayoḥ ṣaṇṇava kramāt .
triṃśat khavedāḥ saptāṅgā nakhāścetyuditā dvija.

36. catvāriṃśat kalā bhaumamandayoḥ ṣaṇṇava kramāt
triṃśat khavedāḥ saptāṅgāḥ nakhāḥ ca iti uditā dvija

36. O twice-born (dvija), forty kalās (minutes of arc) are assigned to Mars and ninety-six respectively to Saturn. Thirty, forty, sixty-seven, and twenty [kalās] are also declared thus.
