बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-27, verse-19

पापदृक्पादहीनं तच्छुभदृक्पादयुक् तथा ।
बलैक्यं ज्ञेज्यदृक्युक्तमेवं खेटबलं भवेत् ॥१९॥
19. pāpadṛkpādahīnaṃ tacchubhadṛkpādayuk tathā .
balaikyaṃ jñejyadṛkyuktamevaṃ kheṭabalaṃ bhavet.
19. pāpa-dṛk-pāda-hīnam tat śubha-dṛk-pāda-yuk tathā |
bala-aikyam jña-ijya-dṛk-yuktam evam kheṭa-balam bhavet
19. That [strength] is reduced by one quarter for malefic aspects. Similarly, it is augmented by one quarter for benefic aspects. The total strength (bala-aikyam) should thus be calculated, incorporating the aspects of Mercury and Jupiter. This is how the planetary strength (kheṭabala) should be determined.
