पादो मन्दगतेस्तस्य दलं मन्दतरस्य हि ।
चरभुक्तेस्तु पादोनां दलं स्यादतिचारिणः ॥२३॥

One-fourth [of the strength] is for slow motion, and indeed, half for slower motion. But for fast motion, it is three-fourths [of the strength], and half should be for very fast motion.
