मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-94, verse-18

रुचिरुवाच ।
साम्प्रतं सर्गकर्तृत्वमादिष्टं ब्रह्मणा मम ।
सोऽहं पुत्रीमभीप्सामि धन्यां दिव्यां प्रजावतीम् ॥१८॥
18. ruciruvāca .
sāmprataṃ sargakartṛtvamādiṣṭaṃ brahmaṇā mama .
so'haṃ putrīmabhīpsāmi dhanyāṃ divyāṃ prajāvatīm.
18. ruciḥ uvāca sāmpratam sargakartṛtvam ādiṣṭam brahmaṇā
mama saḥ aham putrīm abhīpsāmi dhanyām divyām prajāvatīm
18. Ruchi said: "Now, the power to create has been assigned to me by Brahmā. Therefore, I desire a blessed, divine, and fertile daughter."
