मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-94, verse-17

ततः प्रसन्नाः पितरस्तमूचुर्मुनिसत्तमम् ।
वरं वृणीष्वेति स तानुवाचानतकन्धरः ॥१७॥
17. tataḥ prasannāḥ pitarastamūcurmunisattamam .
varaṃ vṛṇīṣveti sa tānuvācānatakandharaḥ.
17. tataḥ prasannāḥ pitaraḥ tam ūcuḥ munisattamam |
varam vṛṇīṣva iti saḥ tān uvāca ānatakandharaḥ
17. Then the pleased ancestors (pitaraḥ) said to him, "O best of sages, choose a boon!" With bowed neck, he then spoke to them.
