ब्राह्मण्युवाच ।
अस्यैव काननस्यान्ते स तिष्ठति निशाचरः ।
प्रविश्य पश्यतु भवान् न बिभेति ततो यदि ॥९॥

asyaiva kānanasyānte sa tiṣṭhati niśācaraḥ .
praviśya paśyatu bhavān na bibheti tato yadi.

The Brahmin woman said, "That demon (niśācara) resides at the very edge of this forest. You may enter and see for yourself, if you are not afraid of it."
