मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-70, verse-8

राजोवाच ।
अपि तज्ज्ञायते रक्षस्त्वामुत्सृज्य क्व वै गतम् ।
अहं भर्त्रा तवैवात्र प्रेषितो द्विजनन्दिनि ॥८॥
8. rājovāca .
api tajjñāyate rakṣastvāmutsṛjya kva vai gatam .
ahaṃ bhartrā tavaivātra preṣito dvijanandini.
8. rāja uvāca api tat jñāyate rakṣas tvām utsṛjya kva vai
gatam aham bhartrā tava eva atra preṣitaḥ dvijanandini
8. The king said, "Is it known where that demon went after leaving you? I have been sent here by your husband, O daughter of a Brahmin."
