राक्षस उवाच ।
मन्त्रवित् स द्विजश्रेष्ठो यज्ञे यज्ञे गतस्य मे ।
रक्षोघ्नमन्त्रपठनात् करोत्युच्चाटनं नृप ॥२१॥

21. rākṣasa uvāca .
mantravit sa dvijaśreṣṭho yajñe yajñe gatasya me .
rakṣoghnamantrapaṭhanāt karotyuccāṭanaṃ nṛpa.

The demon said: "O king, that excellent Brahmin (dvija), who is a knower of sacred incantations (mantra), performs my banishment by reciting demon-killing sacred incantations (mantra) whenever I arrive at a ritual (yajña)."
