स्वकर्मफलपाकेन भर्तुस्तस्य महात्मनः ।
वियोजिताहं तद्धेतुरयमासीन्निशाचरः ॥३४॥

34. svakarmaphalapākena bhartustasya mahātmanaḥ .
viyojitāhaṃ taddheturayamāsīnniśācaraḥ.

34. sva-karma-phala-pākena bhartuḥ tasya mahā-ātmanaḥ
viyojitā aham tat-hetuḥ ayam āsīt niśā-caraḥ

34. I was separated from my husband, that noble-souled (mahātman) one, by the ripening consequences of my own actions (karma). This night-wanderer (demon) was the cause of that.
