मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-126, verse-25

स्वेदमूत्रपुरीषेण दूषितं सुशृतं हविः ।
अपराधं समुद्दिश्य दत्तो नागबलिश्चिरात् ॥२५॥
25. svedamūtrapurīṣeṇa dūṣitaṃ suśṛtaṃ haviḥ .

25. The well-cooked oblation (havis) was defiled by sweat, urine, and feces. To atone for this offense, the snake offering (nāgabali) was given a long time ago.
