Indra was intoxicated by the Soma drink, and the twice-born (dvijātayaḥ) were delighted by the sacrificial fees (dakṣiṇāḥ). The best among the gods (tridaśottamāḥ), led by Indra (Śakra) and others, became servers to the brāhmaṇas (viprāḥ).
