महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-13, verse-27

व्यश्वसूतरथं चक्रे सव्यसाची महारथः ।
मृदुपूर्वं ततश्चैनं त्रिभिर्विव्याध सायकैः ॥२७॥
27. vyaśvasūtarathaṁ cakre savyasācī mahārathaḥ ,
mṛdupūrvaṁ tataścainaṁ tribhirvivyādha sāyakaiḥ.

27. The great charioteer Savyasācin (Arjuna) made (Ashvatthaman's) chariot devoid of horses and charioteer. Then, at first gently, he pierced him with three arrows.
