महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-13, verse-22

तयोरासीन्महाराज बाणवर्षं सुदारुणम् ।
जीमूतानां यथा वृष्टिस्तपान्ते भरतर्षभ ॥२२॥
22. tayorāsīnmahārāja bāṇavarṣaṁ sudāruṇam ,
jīmūtānāṁ yathā vṛṣṭistapānte bharatarṣabha.

jīmūtānām yathā vṛṣṭiḥ tapānte bharatarṣabha
22. mahārāja bharatarṣabha tayoḥ su-dāruṇam
bāṇavarṣam āsīt yathā jīmūtānām tapānte vṛṣṭiḥ
22. O great king (mahārāja), O bull among the Bharatas (bharatarṣabha), there was a very dreadful rain of arrows from them both, just like the rainfall from clouds at the end of summer.
