महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-13, verse-23

अन्योन्यस्पर्धिनौ तौ तु शरैः संनतपर्वभिः ।
ततक्षतुर्मृधेऽन्योन्यं शृङ्गाभ्यां वृषभाविव ॥२३॥
23. anyonyaspardhinau tau tu śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ ,
tatakṣaturmṛdhe'nyonyaṁ śṛṅgābhyāṁ vṛṣabhāviva.
23. anyonya-spardhinau tau tu śaraiḥ sannata-parvabhiḥ
tatakṣatuḥ mṛdhe anyonyam śṛṅgābhyām vṛṣabhau iva
23. tu tau anyonya-spardhinau sannata-parvabhiḥ śaraiḥ
vṛṣabhau śṛṅgābhyām iva mṛdhe anyonyam tatakṣatuḥ
23. Those two rivals, using arrows with well-made (bent) shafts, wounded each other in battle, just as two bulls gore each other with their horns.
