अगम्यरूपा पृथिवी मांसशोणितकर्दमा ।
बभूव भरतश्रेष्ठ रुद्रस्याक्रीडनं यथा ।

17. O best among the Bharatas, the earth became a formidable sight, a mire of flesh and blood, as if it were the playground of Rudra. It caused terror for the fearful, and increased the joy of the brave.
