महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-67, verse-9

ततोऽन्यदस्त्रं कौन्तेयो दयितं जातवेदसः ।
मुमोच कर्णमुद्दिश्य तत्प्रजज्वाल वै भृशम् ॥९॥
9. tato'nyadastraṁ kaunteyo dayitaṁ jātavedasaḥ ,
mumoca karṇamuddiśya tatprajajvāla vai bhṛśam.
9. tataḥ anyat astram kaunteyaḥ dayitam jātavedasaḥ
mumoca karṇam uddiśya tat prajajvāla vai bhṛśam
9. tataḥ kaunteyaḥ jātavedasaḥ dayitam anyat astram
karṇam uddiśya mumoca vai tat bhṛśam prajajvāla
9. Then Arjuna (kaunteya), son of Kunti, discharged another weapon, one dear to the fire-god (jātavedas), aiming it at Karṇa. That weapon blazed intensely.
