महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-67, verse-31

प्रताप्य सेनामामित्रीं दीप्तैः शरगभस्तिभिः ।
बलिनार्जुनकालेन नीतोऽस्तं कर्णभास्करः ॥३१॥
31. pratāpya senāmāmitrīṁ dīptaiḥ śaragabhastibhiḥ ,
balinārjunakālena nīto'staṁ karṇabhāskaraḥ.

31. Having scorched the enemy army with his blazing arrow-rays, Karṇa, who was like the sun, was brought to setting (astaṃ nītaḥ) by mighty Arjuna, who was like time (kālena).
