महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-67, verse-19

युक्त्वा महास्त्रेण परेण मन्त्रविद्विकृष्य गाण्डीवमुवाच सस्वनम् ।
अयं महास्त्रोऽप्रतिमो धृतः शरः शरीरभिच्चासुहरश्च दुर्हृदः ॥१९॥

19. The knower of sacred incantations (mantravit), Arjuna, having empowered the arrow with a supreme great divine weapon (mahāstra), and having drawn his Gāṇḍīva bow with a twang, declared: "This unparalleled great missile of an arrow, which I hold, is destined to pierce the bodies and take the lives of my enemies."
