महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-47, verse-37

तस्य द्रोणोऽच्छिनन्मुष्टौ खड्गं मणिमयत्सरुम् ।
राधेयो निशितैर्बाणैर्व्यधमच्चर्म चोत्तमम् ॥३७॥
37. tasya droṇo'cchinanmuṣṭau khaḍgaṁ maṇimayatsarum ,
rādheyo niśitairbāṇairvyadhamaccarma cottamam.

rādheyaḥ niśitaiḥ bāṇaiḥ vyadhamat carma ca uttamam
37. tasya droṇaḥ muṣṭau maṇi-maya-tsarum khaḍgam acchinat
ca rādheyaḥ niśitaiḥ bāṇaiḥ uttamam carma vyadhamat
37. Droṇa cut off his sword, which had a jeweled hilt, from his grip. And Karṇa (Rādheya) pierced his excellent shield with sharp arrows.
