स समास्थाय मायां तु ववर्ष रुधिरं बहु ।
विद्युद्विभ्राजितं चासीत्तिमिराभ्राकुलं नभः ॥१६॥

16. sa samāsthāya māyāṁ tu vavarṣa rudhiraṁ bahu ,
vidyudvibhrājitaṁ cāsīttimirābhrākulaṁ nabhaḥ.

16. saḥ samāsthāya māyām tu vavarṣa rudhiraṃ bahu
vidyudvibhājitám ca āsīt timirābhrākulam nabhaḥ

16. saḥ tu māyām samāsthāya bahu rudhiraṃ vavarṣa.

16. But he, having assumed an illusion (māyā), rained down much blood. And the sky (nabhaḥ) became illuminated by lightning and filled with dark clouds.
