महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-98, verse-4

संजय उवाच ।
न द्रोणः समरे पार्थं जानीते प्रियमात्मनः ।
क्षत्रधर्मं पुरस्कृत्य पार्थो वा गुरुमाहवे ॥४॥
4. saṁjaya uvāca ,
na droṇaḥ samare pārthaṁ jānīte priyamātmanaḥ ,
kṣatradharmaṁ puraskṛtya pārtho vā gurumāhave.

ātmanaḥ | kṣatradharmam puraskṛtya pārthaḥ vā gurum āhave

4. Sanjaya said: Drona does not recognize Partha as dear to his own self in battle, nor does Partha, upholding the warrior's code (kṣatradharma), recognize his teacher (guru) in combat.
