महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-98, verse-35

विषाणे दन्तिनं गृह्य निर्विषाणमथाकरोत् ।
विषाणेन च तेनैव कुम्भेऽभ्याहत्य दन्तिनम् ।
पातयामास समरे दण्डहस्त इवान्तकः ॥३५॥
35. viṣāṇe dantinaṁ gṛhya nirviṣāṇamathākarot ,
viṣāṇena ca tenaiva kumbhe'bhyāhatya dantinam ,
pātayāmāsa samare daṇḍahasta ivāntakaḥ.

35. Having seized an elephant by its tusk, he then made it tuskless. And with that very tusk, striking another elephant on its temple, he felled it in battle, like the staff-wielding god of death, Yama.
