महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-67, verse-9

भीष्ममेवाभिलीयन्त सह सर्वैस्तवात्मजैः ।
तेषामार्तायनमभूद्भीष्मः शंतनवो रणे ॥९॥
9. bhīṣmamevābhilīyanta saha sarvaistavātmajaiḥ ,
teṣāmārtāyanamabhūdbhīṣmaḥ śaṁtanavo raṇe.

teṣām ārtāyanam abhūt bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavaḥ raṇe

9. They, along with all your sons, indeed sought refuge in Bhishma. Bhishma, the son of Śantanu, became their sole refuge (ārtāyana) in the battle.
