Even Droṇa, the foremost among charioteers, having released Dhṛṣṭadyumna, engaged the aged Virāṭa and Drupada, who had come together, in battle. Meanwhile, Dhṛṣṭadyumna himself, in the conflict, approached Yudhiṣṭhira, the king of righteousness (dharma-rāja).
