महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-49, verse-3

भीष्मो हि समरे क्रुद्धो हन्याल्लोकांश्चराचरान् ।
स कथं पाण्डवं युद्धे नातरत्संजयौजसा ॥३॥
3. bhīṣmo hi samare kruddho hanyāllokāṁścarācarān ,
sa kathaṁ pāṇḍavaṁ yuddhe nātaratsaṁjayaujasā.

sa katham pāṇḍavam yuddhe na atarat saṃjaya ojasā
3. saṃjaya hi kruddhaḥ bhīṣmaḥ samare carācarān lokān

3. Indeed, Bhishma, enraged in battle, could destroy all beings, moving and unmoving. How then, O Sanjaya, did he not overcome the Pandava in battle with his great power?
