महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-89, verse-40

तैर्तर्पयित्वा प्रथमं ब्राह्मणान्मधुसूदनः ।
वेदविद्भ्यो ददौ कृष्णः परमद्रविणान्यपि ॥४०॥
40. tairtarpayitvā prathamaṁ brāhmaṇānmadhusūdanaḥ ,
vedavidbhyo dadau kṛṣṇaḥ paramadraviṇānyapi.
40. taiḥ tarpayitvā prathamam brāhmaṇān madhusūdanaḥ
vedavidbhyaḥ dadau kṛṣṇaḥ paramadraviṇāni api
40. Madhusūdana (Kṛṣṇa), having first satisfied the Brahmins with those provisions, also gave supreme riches to those learned in the Vedas.
