महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-89, verse-20

कृतार्थं चाकृतार्थं च त्वां वयं मधुसूदन ।
यतामहे पूजयितुं गोविन्द न च शक्नुमः ॥२०॥
20. kṛtārthaṁ cākṛtārthaṁ ca tvāṁ vayaṁ madhusūdana ,
yatāmahe pūjayituṁ govinda na ca śaknumaḥ.
20. kṛtārtham ca akṛtārtham ca tvām vayam madhusūdana
yatāmahe pūjayitum govinda na ca śaknumaḥ
20. Whether you have achieved your purpose or not, O Madhusūdana (Kṛṣṇa), we endeavor to honor you, O Govinda (Kṛṣṇa), but we are unable.
