महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-22, verse-8

उत्थानवीर्यः सुखमेधमानो दुर्योधनः सुकृतं मन्यते तत् ।
तेषां भागं यच्च मन्येत बालः शक्यं हर्तुं जीवतां पाण्डवानाम् ॥८॥
8. utthānavīryaḥ sukhamedhamāno; duryodhanaḥ sukṛtaṁ manyate tat ,
teṣāṁ bhāgaṁ yacca manyeta bālaḥ; śakyaṁ hartuṁ jīvatāṁ pāṇḍavānām.

teṣām bhāgam yat ca manyeta bālaḥ
śakyam hartum jīvatām pāṇḍavānām
8. Duryodhana, endowed with proactive vigor and flourishing in prosperity, considers that meritorious conduct [of the Pāṇḍavas] as his own. And what he, a foolish boy (bāla), believes to be their rightful share, he thinks it can be seized from the living Pāṇḍavas.
