नो चेद्गच्छेत्संगरं मन्दबुद्धिस्ताभ्यां सुतो मे विपरीतचेताः ।
नो चेत्कुरून्संजय निर्दहेतामिन्द्राविष्णू दैत्यसेनां यथैव ।
मतो हि मे शक्रसमो धनंजयः सनातनो वृष्णिवीरश्च विष्णुः ॥३१॥

mato hi me śakrasamo dhanaṁjayaḥ; sanātano vṛṣṇivīraśca viṣṇuḥ.

31.
If my dull-witted, perverse-minded son does not engage in battle with those two, then, Sañjaya, they would surely burn up the Kurus, just as Indra and Viṣṇu burn up the demon army. For Dhanañjaya (Arjuna) is considered by me to be equal to Indra, and the hero of the Vṛṣṇis (Kṛṣṇa) is indeed the eternal Viṣṇu.
