महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-22, verse-34

अलं तपोब्रह्मचर्येण युक्तः संकल्पोऽयं मानसस्तस्य सिध्येत् ।
तस्य क्रोधं संजयाहं समीके स्थाने जानन्भृशमस्म्यद्य भीतः ॥३४॥
34. alaṁ tapobrahmacaryeṇa yuktaḥ; saṁkalpo'yaṁ mānasastasya sidhyet ,
tasya krodhaṁ saṁjayāhaṁ samīke; sthāne jānanbhṛśamasmyadya bhītaḥ.
34. alam tapobramhacaryeṇa yuktaḥ
saṅkalpaḥ ayam mānasaḥ tasya sidhyet
tasya krodhaṃ saṃjaya aham samīke
sthāne jānan bhṛśam asmi adya bhītaḥ
34. Indeed, his mental resolve, equipped with asceticism (tapas) and celibacy (brahmacarya), is capable [of achieving its aim]; may it succeed. O Saṃjaya, knowing his anger on the battlefield, I am greatly afraid today.
