महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-178, verse-24

गुरोरप्यवलिप्तस्य कार्याकार्यमजानतः ।
उत्पथप्रतिपन्नस्य कार्यं भवति शासनम् ॥२४॥
24. gurorapyavaliptasya kāryākāryamajānataḥ ,
utpathapratipannasya kāryaṁ bhavati śāsanam.
24. guroḥ api avaliptasya kāryākāryam ajānataḥ
utpathapratipannasya kāryam bhavati śāsanam
24. avaliptasya kāryākāryam ajānataḥ utpathapratipannasya
guroḥ api śāsanam kāryam bhavati
24. Even for a guru (guru) who is arrogant, ignorant of right and wrong, and has gone astray, disciplinary action (śāsanam) is appropriate.
