tataḥ krodha-saṃrakta-locanaḥ rāmaḥ mām abravīt,
"bhīṣma,
mām gurum jānīṣe? cet na imām kāśyasya sutām mat-priya-artham pratigṛhṇase,

Then Rama, his eyes red with rage, spoke to me, "Bhishma, do you consider me your teacher (guru)? If you do not accept this daughter of the King of Kashi, O Kaurava, O ruler of the earth, for my sake."
