महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-178, verse-14

तमहं गीर्भिरिष्टाभिः पुनः पुनररिंदमम् ।
अयाचं भृगुशार्दूलं न चैव प्रशशाम सः ॥१४॥
14. tamahaṁ gīrbhiriṣṭābhiḥ punaḥ punarariṁdamam ,
ayācaṁ bhṛguśārdūlaṁ na caiva praśaśāma saḥ.

14. I repeatedly entreated that subduer of enemies (ariṃdama), that tiger among the Bhrigus (bhṛguśārdūla), with pleasing words, but he did not calm down at all.
