महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-60, verse-27

मुखतः पातयामास शस्त्रेण निशितेन ह ।
निर्विचेष्टं भुजंगं तं विशस्य मृगजीवनः ॥२७॥
27. mukhataḥ pātayāmāsa śastreṇa niśitena ha ,
nirviceṣṭaṁ bhujaṁgaṁ taṁ viśasya mṛgajīvanaḥ.

27. The hunter, having killed that motionless snake, indeed struck it down with a sharp weapon, aiming at its mouth.
