महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-90, verse-34

यूपेषु नियतं चासीत्पशूनां त्रिशतं तथा ।
अश्वरत्नोत्तरं राज्ञः कौन्तेयस्य महात्मनः ॥३४॥
34. yūpeṣu niyataṁ cāsītpaśūnāṁ triśataṁ tathā ,
aśvaratnottaraṁ rājñaḥ kaunteyasya mahātmanaḥ.

34. Certainly, three hundred animals were tied to the sacrificial posts. Additionally, there was the paramount horse belonging to the great-souled King, the son of Kunti (Yudhishthira).
