महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-9, verse-33

ततो रोषात्सर्वतो घोररूपं सपत्नं ते जनयामास भूयः ।
मदं नामासुरं विश्वरूपं यं त्वं दृष्ट्वा चक्षुषी संन्यमीलः ॥३३॥
33. tato roṣātsarvato ghorarūpaṁ; sapatnaṁ te janayāmāsa bhūyaḥ ,
madaṁ nāmāsuraṁ viśvarūpaṁ; yaṁ tvaṁ dṛṣṭvā cakṣuṣī saṁnyamīlaḥ.
33. tataḥ roṣāt sarvataḥ ghorarūpam
sapatnam te janayāmāsa bhūyaḥ
madam nāma asuram viśvarūpam yam
tvam dṛṣṭvā cakṣuṣī samnyamīlaḥ
33. tataḥ roṣāt bhūyaḥ te sapatnam ghorarūpam madam nāma asuram
viśvarūpam janayāmāsa yam tvam dṛṣṭvā cakṣuṣī samnyamīlaḥ
33. Then, out of anger, he (Cyavana) again generated for you a dreadful-looking enemy, by name Mada, a demon (asura) of cosmic form, at the sight of whom you closed both your eyes.
