त्वमेवान्यान्दहसे जातवेदो न हि त्वदन्यो विद्यते भस्मकर्ता ।
त्वत्संस्पर्शात्सर्वलोको बिभेत्यश्रद्धेयं वदसे हव्यवाह ॥२७॥

Indra said: "You alone consume others, O Fire (jātavedas); indeed, there is no one else apart from you who can reduce things to ashes. The entire world trembles at your touch. Yet, O carrier of oblations (havyavāh), you speak something unbelievable."
