महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-91, verse-9

तस्यासीत्प्रतिबुद्धस्य शोकेन पिहितात्मनः ।
मनः संहृत्य विषये बुद्धिर्विस्तरगामिनी ॥९॥
9. tasyāsītpratibuddhasya śokena pihitātmanaḥ ,
manaḥ saṁhṛtya viṣaye buddhirvistaragāminī.

manaḥ saṃhṛtya viṣaye buddhiḥ vistara-gāminī
9. When he awoke, his inner self (ātman) was clouded by grief. With his mind withdrawn from sensory objects, his intellect became expansive.
