युधिष्ठिर उवाच ।
पवित्राणां पवित्रं यच्छ्रेष्ठं लोके च यद्भवेत् ।
पावनं परमं चैव तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह ॥१॥

pavitrāṇāṁ pavitraṁ yacchreṣṭhaṁ loke ca yadbhavet ,
pāvanaṁ paramaṁ caiva tanme brūhi pitāmaha.

Yudhishthira said: "O Grandfather, please tell me that which is the purest among purifiers, that which is the best in the world, and indeed, the supreme sanctifier."
