महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-88, verse-30

नन्दामि वः प्रभावेन पुत्राणामिव चोदये ।
यथाशक्त्यनुगृह्णामि राष्ट्रस्यापीडया च वः ॥३०॥

30. nandāmi vaḥ prabhāvena putrāṇāmiva codaye ,
yathāśaktyanugṛhṇāmi rāṣṭrasyāpīḍayā ca vaḥ.

30. I rejoice in your influence, as I would in the prosperity of my sons. And I show favor to you according to my capacity, without oppressing the kingdom.
