शमीक उवाच ।
जानाम्युग्रप्रभावं त्वां पुत्र सत्यगिरं तथा ।
नानृतं ह्युक्तपूर्वं ते नैतन्मिथ्या भविष्यति ॥३॥

3. śamīka uvāca ,
jānāmyugraprabhāvaṁ tvāṁ putra satyagiraṁ tathā ,
nānṛtaṁ hyuktapūrvaṁ te naitanmithyā bhaviṣyati.
jānāmyugraprabhāvaṁ tvāṁ putra satyagiraṁ tathā ,
nānṛtaṁ hyuktapūrvaṁ te naitanmithyā bhaviṣyati.

śamīka uvāca jānāmi ugraprabhāvam tvām putra satyagiram
tathā na anṛtam hi uktapūrvam te na etat mithyā bhaviṣyati

Śamīka said: 'O son, I know you possess formidable power and speak only the truth. Indeed, no falsehood has ever been uttered by you before, and this will not prove false either.'
