महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-38, verse-16

पूजितश्च नरेन्द्रेण द्विजो गौरमुखस्ततः ।
आचख्यौ परिविश्रान्तो राज्ञे सर्वमशेषतः ।
शमीकवचनं घोरं यथोक्तं मन्त्रिसंनिधौ ॥१६॥
16. pūjitaśca narendreṇa dvijo gauramukhastataḥ ,
ācakhyau pariviśrānto rājñe sarvamaśeṣataḥ ,
śamīkavacanaṁ ghoraṁ yathoktaṁ mantrisaṁnidhau.
16. pūjitaḥ ca narendreṇa dvijaḥ gauramukhaḥ
tataḥ ācakhyau pariviśrāntaḥ
rājñe sarvam aśeṣataḥ śamīkavacanam
ghoram yathā uktam mantrisaṃnidhau
16. And the brahmin Gauramukha, having been honored by the king and having rested thoroughly, then recounted everything completely to the king: the dreadful words of Śamīka, just as they had been spoken in the presence of the ministers.
