अभिषिक्तोऽङ्गराज्ये स श्रिया युक्तो महाबलः ॥३६॥

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then, at that very moment, Karṇa, the great warrior (mahāratha), was consecrated in the Anga kingdom on a golden seat by priests (mantravidbhiḥ) who knew the sacred incantations, using golden pitchers filled with parched rice and flowers. He, mighty and endowed with splendor, was thus installed.
