योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-38, verse-29

मिथ्या लोकस्य कचतो भ्रान्त्या मरणजन्मनी ।
असत्यपि भ्रान्तिभाजि मृगतृष्णानदीतटे ॥ २९ ॥
mithyā lokasya kacato bhrāntyā maraṇajanmanī ,
asatyapi bhrāntibhāji mṛgatṛṣṇānadītaṭe 29
29. mithyā lokasya kacataḥ bhrāntyā maraṇajanmanī
asati api bhrāntibhāji mṛgatṛṣṇānadītaṭe
29. lokasya kacataḥ [ca] asati api bhrāntibhāji mṛgatṛṣṇānadītaṭe
[yathā] bhrāntyā maraṇajanmanī mithyā [bhāsate]
29. Birth and death appear falsely in the world as it manifests, entirely due to delusion, even though the deluded substratum itself is non-existent, much like being on the bank of a mirage-river.
