योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-34, verse-34

द्रष्टा न दृश्यतां याति चितिर्नायाति चेत्यताम् ।
चेत्याभावादजगति कः किं चेतयते कथम् ॥ ३४ ॥
draṣṭā na dṛśyatāṃ yāti citirnāyāti cetyatām ,
cetyābhāvādajagati kaḥ kiṃ cetayate katham 34

cetya-abhāvāt ajagati kaḥ kim cetayate katham

34. The observer (dṛṣṭā) never becomes the observed, and pure consciousness (citi) never becomes an object of thought or perception. Since there is no world (jagat) and thus no object to be thought about, who can perceive what, and how?
