योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-129, verse-22

भागस्तेनोर्ध्वतस्तस्मादतिदूरतरं गतः ।
अतो भागो गतोऽधस्तादतिदूरतरान्तरम् ॥ २२ ॥

bhāgastenordhvatastasmādatidūrataraṃ gataḥ ,
ato bhāgo gato'dhastādatidūratarāntaram 22

22. bhāgaḥ tena ūrdhvataḥ tasmāt atidūrataram gataḥ
| ataḥ bhāgaḥ gataḥ adhastāt atidūratarāntaram ||

22. tena bhāgaḥ tasmāt ūrdhvataḥ atidūrataram gataḥ
ataḥ bhāgaḥ adhastāt atidūratarāntaram gataḥ

22. By that act, one part (of the cosmic orb) went extremely far upwards from its original position. Consequently, the other part went to an extremely far distance below.
